Last week’s post was well received. I thought I’d do it again. I love sharing my favorites.
Book
This week’s book is Atomic Habits by James Clear. Normally I have the month’s worth of reading scheduled out, but this book came highly recommended by someone I deeply trust. I was not disappointed to interrupt my learning schedule to fit this one in. One of the things I love most about this book is that James summarizes the concepts at the end of each chapter. Don’t think you can skip the reading and just skim the summaries, though. The stories throughout the chapters bring the concepts to life.

Brain Octane Oil

Treat
I know its odd to have an oil as a treat. Adding this to my coffee each morning and blending it with the oat milk leaves me feeling energized and ready to take on the world. If that’s not a treat, I don’t know what is.
Comfort
I spent a few days in bed this weekend, tired, feverish, with general malaise. I slept a lot. Waking up Monday morning, I needed something easy, tasty, filling, and with protein to help me recover. Although I am typically grain free, I do find that an occasional meal ofQuinoa is well loved by my body.
Tool:
My schedule changes frequently. I used to have to use whiteout in my planner – which drove me absolutely crazy. (I’m kind of a neat freak). And then I found thesePilot erasable pens. Multiple varieties including stick pens, click pens, markers, and highlighters. If you’re looking for an adaptable pen, there is a variety available for you.
Bonus:
Last week, I bought some meditation stools for my home yoga studio. The advert stated that they were barely used. It was a total lie. But I love them so I’m working with it. The first thing that needed fixed was the smell of cigarette smoke needed to go. Unfortunately, me and most of my family are scent sensitive and we don’t bring toxic chemicals into our home. After a bit of searching, I was super lucky to find this product –Green Grab Fabric refresher– Vetiver scent is my favorite. Seems to be working well! Now, to find a wood glue that will hold up to people sitting on these stools. (Note to self: Vet advertisements in the future and check products out more thoroughly)
